Whatever type of camera you have, this course will show you how to make the best use of it.

Learning in the fascinating location of the island and its varied historic and natural landscapes, you will be taught some key skills that you need to become a better photographer.

Whether you use a phone, compact, DSLR or mirror-less camera, you will learn the knowledge and techniques you need to make better images. Setting your camera to “Auto” will be a thing of the past. Over the two full days of the course you will learn the core skills of composition, the use of light and perspective and how to set your camera to achieve photographs to be proud of. This will include exploring the world of aperture, shutter speed and ISO and discover how they all fit together to make a great photograph. You will also learn how to store your images for the best reproduction and explore basic post-production.

Whether you`re a complete beginner or an improver, the course will equip you with the knowledge and understanding you need to take your photography to the next level.

Gwyn Williams

Gwyn is a professional photographer and tutor with almost 40 years experience. He has worked on theatre, TV and film projects, photographed a wide range of personalities plus advertising and architecture. His first love in photography is Landscape. Gwyn has taught at all levels from absolute beginners to higher City & Guilds. Indeed, some of his students have gone on to be professional photographers.

Kitlist
ESSENTIAL Camera (can be your phone), with a small selection of lenses if appropriate, chargers and spare card if applicable. Notebook and pen/pencil.
