Schoolchildren from Cardiff and the wider area have channelled their creativity to help Cardiff Harbour Authority (CHA) raise awareness of water safety in Cardiff Bay.
Pupils were invited to design banners communicating the important message that people should not swim in Cardiff Bay. The competition encouraged young people to think about the dangers associated with unauthorised swimming and convey this potentially life-saving information through creative and eye-catching designs.
The winning banners are now on display at key locations around the Bay, including Cardiff Bay Barrage, the Barrage Walkway and the Graving Docks, where they’ll be seen by thousands of visitors throughout the year.
All competition entries can be viewed on our water safety page.
Judges praised the high standard of entries, highlighting the pupils’ strong understanding of the subject and their ability to communicate a vital safety message with creativity and artistic flair.
