Butetown Carnival 2026 – Heritage in Motion

Two unforgettable days of music, dance, art and celebration in the heart of Cardiff Bay! Produced by Butetown Arts & Culture CIC, Butetown Carnival is a community-led celebration bringing together residents, artists, schools, musicians, dancers, community organisations and visitors to create a unique celebration of culture, creativity and belonging.

This year’s theme, Heritage in Motion, celebrates the people, cultures and stories that have shaped Butetown for generations. From the historic docks of Tiger Bay to the vibrant community that thrives here today, Carnival honours our shared past while celebrating the creativity, resilience and diversity that continue to define Butetown.
