Prepare for an electrifying adventure, as the EV Rally kicks off its highly anticipated journey from the iconic Cardiff Bay Barrage. This exciting event, sponsored by Lex Autolease, promises to showcase the incredible potential of electric vehicles (EVs) in the UK and Irish fleets.

As the EV Rally sets off on its 5-day, 1,200+ mile adventure in early July, it will pay homage to the rich history and significance of the Barrage. This incredible feat of engineering will serve as the starting point for approximately 50 state-of-the-art EVs from sponsors and partners, embarking on a remarkable journey that encompasses the capital cities of the UK and Ireland. The rally’s primary focus will be highlighting the robust and reliable charging infrastructure that powers these impressive EVs.

Building upon the success of the previous year’s GB EV Rally, the 2023 edition promises to be even more thrilling and ground-breaking. In addition to electric vans, this year’s rally will feature electric motorcycles and heavy goods vehicles, representing all four vehicle classes and providing an unprecedented showcase of electric mobility in the fleet sector.

The event will bring together diverse participants, including fleet professionals, key industry figures, media representatives, and even a few familiar faces from the entertainment world.

Over the course of the five-day journey, the EV Rally will traverse a carefully curated route, making stops at EV charge points and hubs, showcasing clean energy projects, and capturing memorable moments against the backdrop of iconic landmarks at key locations, known as Checkpoints.
