10:00 am - 3:00 pm
On the 14th of May 10am – 3pm lands the Welcome back Swifts + celebration of Marconi day community events in Cardiff Bay.
The free events taking place on Cardiff Barrage celebrate both the return of the swift population and also the work of Guglielmo Marconi between the Cardiff coast and Flat Holm.
There will plenty of activities to enjoy on the day, from guided walks and bird quizzes to arts, crafts, and games.
To celebrate the anniversary of Guglielmo Marconi’s first wireless message across open water Barry Amateur Radio Society will be on site to help you send messages across the world. Alongside investigating some island artefacts you can also take a virtual visit to Flat Holm whilst standing on Cardiff Barrage.
So spread your wings and fly down to Cardiff Bay for a free day of feathery fun.
