UNIVERSITY ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP – EXCLUSION ZONE AND SPEED LIMIT IN THE
BAY
From Monday 18
July until Wednesday 27 July 2005 an exclusion zone will be in place
around the full length of the rowing lane course .
The exclusion zone will be clearly marked by yellow buoys. The yellow
buoys marking the end of the exclusion zone will have yellow flashing
navigation lights.
A 5 knot maximum speed limit will be in place within all areas of
Cardiff Bay during the following times:
Thursday 21 July 0800 – 2000hrs
Friday 22 July 0700 – 2000hrs
Saturday 23 July 0700 – 1900hrs
Sunday 24 July 0700 – 1400hrs
Mariners are requested to navigate clear of the exclusion zone and at
slow speed to keep wash to a minimum.
