Dredging Cardiff Bay Barrage Outer Harbour and Approach Channel

 

  From approximately Wednesday 2 February 2005, the four channel marker buoys in the approach channel to Cardiff Barrage Outer Harbour will be repositioned outside the channel prior to the commencement of dredging operations.

On or about Friday 4 February 2005, for approximately 4 weeks, the dredger MV Sospan and a small support vessel will be operating in Cardiff Bay Barrage Outer Harbour and approach channel.

The Vessels will display lights and shapes in accordance with the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collision at Sea and will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 16,69 & 18.

Vessels wishing to enter or leave Cardiff Bay should contact Barrage Control on VHF Channel 18 and await instructions before entering the Outer Harbour.
