As part of Cardiff Harbour Authority’s ongoing
monitoring of midge emergence periods from Wednesday 16 April 2003, up
to 10 insect emergence traps are to be positioned within the Bay and
the Rivers Taff and Ely.
The traps comprise
a 1 metre square clear plastic box mounted on a flotation collar. The
traps are marked by means of a flag and flashing amber beacon.
