Hire the venue for meetings
and conferences
Cardiff Bay Visitor
Centre is a unique venue for
conferences from a small intimate number up to 120 people.
The iconic building was designed by architect William Alsop in an
elliptical shape to make the visitor feel that they are standing
inside a telescope. Built in 1991, ‘the Tube’ as it is known offers
a large screen and seating area for presentations and a separate
break-out area for smaller meetings as required. The audio system is
connected to a hearing loop to aid visitors with hearing
difficulties and the building is fully DDA-compliant including a
disabled toilet and level access throughout.
Catering requirements can be facilitated through Cardiff Catering,
offering over 20 years experience in supporting venues across the
city such as City Hall. A variety of menus are available including
Welsh canapé receptions for your evening events, food and beverages
for breakfast meetings, and full lunches.
Please contact the Tube staff
directly for details.

‘Ports of
Wales’ exhibition
The ‘Ports
of Wales’ exhibition documents the fascinating history
of the docks in Wales including ancient artefacts,
archive images and other treasures, each with their own
story to tell.
Divided into three areas of North, West and South Wales
with the ports of Holyhead, Milford Haven and Cardiff,
visitors can follow the story from the seventeenth
century onwards, view archive footage and photographs,
find out how much they weigh in relation to bags of
coal, and see models of some of the great ships that
sailed into the harbours across Wales. |

Sustainability
Did you
know that the average Cardiff citizen uses three times
their share of the world's resources?
This new exhibition asks the question 'how do we develop
sustainably?' whilst maintaining a good quality
lifestyle in our city.
Learn about where our rubbish and recycling goes in
Cardiff, calculate your carbon footprint, or make a
pledge by posting it into the tree.
Discover what Cardiff Harbour Authority has been doing
this decade to promote sustainability in Cardiff Bay, as
a beautiful leisure setting to be enjoyed by generations
to come. |
