The Harbour Authority adopts a pro-active approach to the management of the many environmental issues presented by the freshwater impoundment.  This pro-active approach is possible as a result of the intensive water quality monitoring programme in place and also the deployment of appropriate resources to effectively manage and thereby prevent the occurrence of environmental problems.
